Epilogue

In the ruins of Egypt far below the battle, Pharaoh Seto is both astonished and appalled by the great power and destruction he has witnessed. He stares at the giant white marble hanging high in the stratosphere. One of his advisors followed by a mob of servants and commoners, runs up to him and interrupts his viewing. They are all extremely pale due to the blatant demolition. The whole city (with every dwelling within it) has been reduced to pebbled dust. Even the palace, and all the riches held within, is gone.

“Pharaoh, Pharaoh!” one servant calls out frantically. “Our houses are destroyed! The shops are gone! What happened? What should we do? You're our leader, help us!”

“Silence, peasant!” Seto orders. “Be patient. I'll address your petty problems in due time.” He returns to watching the orb in the sky.

“B-but Pharaoh!” a shopkeeper pleads. “What about my business? I'm ruined!”

“Be quiet!” Seto hisses as he tries desperately to ignore the complaints shouted at him. He doesn't even take his eyes off the mysterious orb.

Suddenly, it shatters. The shards quickly evaporate, revealing nothing but the clear hazel sky. Pharaoh Seto remains still for a moment, and then calmly turns to the people surrounding him, each looking incredibly desperate.

“What are you doing, standing around?” he harshly inquires. “Look! My palace is destroyed! My city is ruined! Why are you all gawking at me? Get moving! It is up to you to return this smoldering rubble to the grand kingdom once again.”

“Y-yes sire!” they all shout in tandem. The group rushes off, once again leaving Pharaoh Seto alone. He takes one last look at the brilliant, yet eerily blank sky. Then, turning away from the cleared heavens, he reaches into his robe and calmly retrieves a scroll and a vial.

He chants the spell written on the scroll, entitled “Monster Reborn”, tosses the vial over his right shoulder, and walks confidently away.

A whitish-blue cloud rises from the broken vial, and the golden javelin of the Dragon Hero emerges.

“Welcome back, Champion,” Pharaoh Seto whispers with a grin.
